In general, the entire cover letter and resume rises from the mere fact that those individuals who are seeking job employment are not putting themselves on the shoe towards the person who are hiring them towards that particular job employment. You won’t actually believe this but I’ve seen candidates submit cover letters in the form of scanned documents from hand written letters.
I think there are still lazy job seekers who take personalization way too literal.
