Career talk in Western Illinois University

The Western Illinois University is one of the prestigious universities in the United States. It is compose of two main campuses that are located in Macomb, Illinois and Moline, Illinois. Its mission is to provide individuals with learning’s that will mold them to become good assets for societal change and competitive enough to meet the demands of the modernization of the world. In which, the University conducted different trainings, educational instruction, research, and public service to the students. In line with the educational mission of Western Illinois University, the university itself conducted different career talks to the students who are about to graduate in college level. These career talks will serve as a gage in preparing the students for their application to the different companies and institution in the country.

One of the recent career talks that happened was last Tuesday; Nov. 27, 2007. The career discussion were participated by the different members of student government association of Western Illinois University. The speaker who initiated the talk was Matthew Crull. Mr. Crull is the present Career Services Assistant of Western Illinois University. Mr. Crull presented the important usage of Career Service Web site. According to Mr. Crull, the content of the Web site are very much updated and well polish such as the different samples of resume and cover letter writings. In which, there are designated personnel that will monitor the web site from time to time. Career Service Web site also provides information about proper etiquette in the job settings and needed preparation for job interviews.

The web site offers different information that will be helpful for the students in order to be hired in a certain company. The Web site is always available to the students who need assistance on their application. In which, the Career Service of Western University of Illinois will also offer mock interviews to the students in order to be prepared on the real job interview.
