Malcolm Pyles of New York narrated that it was the cover letter tips, his friends gave him few months ago that helped him get the job he truly aspire for. He said his students life had ended only last year, and after he graduated from a community college he has not researched so much about improving Cover letters of his applications – until this month when he started to join thousands of job seekers.
Pyles graduated from a degree course in development communication but do not have enough knowledge how he would be able to make a good CV resume that would impress his supposed employers when he applied for a job in many private and government offices. To his mind, as long as he has made a simple cover letter that would be enough. His former classmate in high school who saw his cover letter advised him what to do – and whether he needs career training first.
“We talked about it and he taught me how to make a research about cover letters in the web and I was so amazed how I was able to develop a very unique cover letter. Now I realized I was wrong in my notion that cover letters cannot help you getting hired from any job,” he said.
He said had it not for the timely advice of his bosom friend he is still among those struggling job seekers in the streets. Now he believes that good packaging of yourself as well as your application papers is very important because your first motive when you apply for a certain job is to impress them first with your performance, experience and expertise such as making your application letters very presentable as well as your cover letters.
When he applied for a vacant position, he was turned down outright by the business owner. However, this time he came back and brought his new application letter with the attached beautifully-prepared cover letter, he was then considered for the position.
“I feel relieved when I was told to submit additional information by the HR manager. I really thought my application papers would be on the thirteenth file again.”
