This coming May 4-10, 2008 is the Teacher Appreciation Week 2008 celebration and teacher day 2008 celebration in the United States. In which, there are lots of activities, giving of awards and benefits for all teachers in the United States. The upcoming teacher’s celebration is the acknowledgment for the roles of the teachers in the society especially in mentoring and molding the minds of the youth to become future leaders in the next generation. As well, this teacher’s celebration will be a great opportunity to promote the teaching career to the young individuals in the society especially that the Untied States is currently experiencing a teacher’s shortage in their nation. In that manner, the teacher celebration will be a venue to promote the importance of teachers in their nation and how their roles have created a significant impact to the lives of every individual.
As well, the United States Department of Education has plan out to conduct a nationwide teacher’s recruitment as part of the Teacher Appreciation Day 2008 celebration. This nationwide teacher’s recruitment is intended for the public educational institutes. In which, it has been reported that rate of teachers in the Public schools especially in the urban areas are already declining. In that manner, the recruitment day will be a great help in order to increase the numbers of teachers in the rural public schools in the Untied States. As well, the Department of Education calls out the individuals who will be participating to prepare the necessary documents such as cover letter, resume content and diploma and other educational documents that will support the employment application.
